Feeling Vestive

Saturday, April 26, 2014

VEST: J.Crew   SWEATER: Urban Outfitters   JEANS: Gap   BOOTS: Steve Madden

Wow has the weather here in Washington has been crazy! We will have very nice sunny days and then out of no where we will have very harsh rains. This outfit can fit both these weather conditions, because even though it is sunny we still haven't had a nice warm or hot day, so keeping warm is a key. It's always nice for rainy day's because you have extra layers to help you stay dry and warm. This is also one of my go-to lazy outfits because its easy to put on when you are in a rush and don't want to put in much effort, but still look put together.

Freeze Out

JACKET: Target   HAT: Urban Outfitters   BOOTS: Hunter   SWEATER: Forever21   JEANS: Gap

I cannot believe we are already half way through January! I have been slammed with prepping for finals and playing on my school's varsity basketball team so I've been keeping pretty busy but I wanted to share a couple of photos really quickly of our Christmas-tree-getting adventure this year! It was literally freezing outside but at least the sun came out! I hope your 2014 has been treating you well so far!

Denim Days

Monday, December 16, 2013

SHIRT: Forever 21   JEANS: Gap   SHOES: Nordstrom BP   SUNGLASSES: Ray-Ban

Every girl should have a chambray shirt in their wardrobe. They are so versatile and more importantly, SO COMFY! I love how they can easily dress up or dress down an outfit. I decided to wear this particular shirt with a pair of dark wash jeans from the Gap. I feel like the mixing of denim looks really cool and classic. I threw on a pair of my sisters Ray-Bans since it was actually sunny outside, and for a fun pop of color, these grey and yellow oxfords from Nordstrom! How do you like wearing your chambray shirts?

Farewell Fall

Monday, December 09, 2013

JACKET: Topshop   SWEATER: Nordstrom BP   SCARF: Old Navy   JEANS: Gap   BOOTS: Steve Madden   BAG: Marc by Marc Jacobs

I am sad that fall has come to an end, but I am very excited for this winter season. For my last fall post, I wanted to stay simple and comfy. This outfit is perfect because it has a lot of calming neutrals, which are great for everyday. This topshop coat is one of the best to wear because it is light and goes with a lot of different patterns and colors. It is my first coat choice in the morning before I leave for school.

Pattern Play

BLAZER: H&M   DRESS: Gap   NECKLACE: Forever 21   BOOTS: Steve Madden   BAG: Rebecca Minkoff

Making outfits look classy and fun at the same time can be a challenge. I chose this simple black dress from the Gap, which gives the outfit just the right amount of elegance and paired it with a great geometric patterned blazer from H&M to make the look stand a little more. I added the white tights to give the look a fresh pop, the wedge boots for a bit of a heel (my favorite), and simple gold jewelry to help keep it all classy. I hope everyone is enjoying December so far!

All Grown Up

Thursday, November 21, 2013

SHIRT: Forever 21  SCARF: H&M   JEANS: Gap   BOOTS: Steve Madden

It's officially cold up here. Like really cold. Like so cold that I gave my sister evil looks in between photos during this outfit shoot. But hey, at least it wasn't raining! Now that the crisp fall weather is  starting to ween into chilly winter days I really wanted to get as much use out of the jeans, boot, shirt and scarf go-to as I could. This time around I wanted to go for a more fancy, grown up look, which I think is super cute for maybe a Thanksgiving outfit or shopping downtown for Christmas gifts. I love this scarf from H&M because of how large and colorful it is. Since this color was impactful enough I wanted to keep the remaining outfit pieces more along the neutral lines. These Steve Madden boots are so great to pair with an outfit like this. Do any of you have a favorite "go-to" pair of boots for the fall and winter months?

A is for Awesome

SHIRT: Forever 21   SCARF: A present   JEANS: Gap   SHOES: Nordstrom BP   BAG: Longchanp

We are all awesome in one way or another, I think that it is time that we all show it! This look is comfy and causal, perfect for everyday. The A sweater is a nice way to say that I am awesome. The shoes give this outfit have a nice touch of color. I added the scarf for some layering and to help stay warm during the fall season and its pattern helps give the look a little something extra. :) What are some of your awesome everyday looks?
